Clinton-Macomb Public Library has been a long-time Polaris customer – since 2002. CMPL has a collection of over 300,000 volumes and circulates over 1.5 million items annually.
CMPL, as the name suggests, serves the population in both Clinton and Macomb Townships – northeast suburbs of the greater Detroit, Michigan area. There’s a main library in Clinton and two additional branches.
Clinton-Macomb has created a very nice custom theme for their PowerPAC that matches their home page. Additionally, they’ve done a few things we haven’t seen at other libraries. In the PowerPAC header they’ve added prompts where patrons can enter their login information to sign on to their account.
This library has created a great list of search limit options in their PowerPAC. They use just the most popular material formats and combine them with availability at specific locations.
CMPL has made some nice patron-friendly wording changes throughout their catalog using the Polaris Language Editor.
