Baltimore County Public Library has been a Polaris customer since 2009. BCPL has a collection of over 1.7 million volumes and circulates over 10 million items annually.
BCPL is headquartered in Towson, Maryland and has 19 branches and four bookmobiles.
Baltimore County’s catalog represents a very high level of careful customization. The layout has been modified to include a custom header and footer. The navigation mechanism in the header offers the same effective “drop down” behavior they employ on the BCPL home page.
Since installing Polaris in 2009 BCPL has been one of our best library partners – frequently working actively as a beta test site. We’re grateful for what has been a very mutually beneficial relationship.
