Each library profile includes a “customization level” with a rating of zero to four stars.
The customization level rating indicates the degree to which the library has personalized their implementation of Polaris PowerPAC and/or Mobile PAC.
Use the tag cloud. You’ll find a link to it on the main menu under “Take a Tour.” Select a feature or library attribute (like “Public” or “Academic”) and you’ll see a list of all the libraries that have been tagged with your selection. Then just tour away!
For each Polaris library on this site we try to give you some background information so you have a sense of whether that library is similar to yours or not.
First we look at a library’s website for information.
For statistical information we typically use Marshall Breeding’s Library Technology Guides website (https://www.librarytechnology.org).
Frequently we also like to provide some notes about unique things a library has done with their discovery solution(s). We take a look at what they’ve got on the web and try to point anything interesting about what that library has implemented.
